The Prese forest was established in 1997.
It consists of forty fields owned by the municipality of Rosà, planted with numerous tall trees typical of the country forest: cherry, walnut, oak, white hornbeam and black hornbeam, poplars, plane trees, mulberry and acacia trees, enriched by a dense undergrowth and hazel shrubs.
It is a very important naturalistic lung for biodiversity, located close to an industrial area.
Crossed by the Michela irrigation ditch, a derivation of the Dolfinella, the Bosco delle Prese constitutes an important recharge area of the underlying aquifer.
