Rosario Bonaccorso is at the helm of a ship ready to set sail, whose crew is completed by guitarist Roberto Taufic and trumpeter Fulvio Sigurtà.
A trio that originates from and is inspired by the bassist's CD, “Viaggiando,” released in 2015 and recorded in a quartet with Fabrizio Bosso, Javier Girotto, and Roberto Taufic.
In this work, which incorporates a composite and fascinating musical background and where, alongside a refined imprint of Mediterranean culture blended with an undeniable international scope, one can feel the composer’s love for Brazilian music.
In Rosario Bonaccorso's music, an heterogeneity of influences and suggestions can be found, enriching the compositions through the various geographical origins of the musicians who have contributed to them, and who we encounter from time to time in live concerts.
In this concert, alongside Rosario Bonaccorso, we will listen to the Carioca melancholy of Roberto Taufic's guitar, a virtuoso Brazilian musician increasingly appreciated in Europe and a long-time collaborator of Bonaccorso; and the surprising Fulvio Sigurtà, one of the most esteemed trumpeters of the contemporary scene, a sought-after performer and already a long-time collaborator of Bonaccorso, as seen in his latest album, A New Home.
