The main activity is the reception of urgent patients or patients without appointments. Here, day and night, the triage veterinarians, alongside specialist veterinarians during opening hours, and interning students at OVUD, take care of welcoming animals and their owners.
After an initial evaluation and the stabilization of the animal, the veterinarian on duty will decide on the treatment, and the possible hospitalization of the patient for prolonged therapies.
Veterinarians may carry out the following tests: hematobiochemical tests and blood gas analyses, digital X-rays, Eco-fast, and blood transfusions.
