Sibilla De Cetto
Elena Cornaro Piscopia

Among streets and squares: illustrious Paduan women

An opportunity to discover the women who, in Padua's history, left traces in the very configuration of the city or contributed to its fame beyond the city limits. Through a walk through the historic center, the profiles of some of these women will be evoked, stopping in the places where their testimony is strongest.
Among the many figures, stories about Elena Lucrezia Cornaro Piscopia, the world's first female graduate, will be told; about Sibilla de Cetto, a noblewoman who lived in Padua between the 14th and 15th centuries; and Fina Buzzaccarini, an illustrious patron of the frescoes in the Cathedral Baptistery. Don't miss the stories about the women who changed the history of Padua!
