The itinerary, starting from the side entrance, continues in the wonderful atmosphere of the chapel, where one can be enchanted by the lush tale of Salvation, and then concludes in the cloister of the Eremitani.
The show recounts the ambitions of Enrico Scrovegni who, through the construction of the frescoed chapel, hoped to bring prestige to his household. A policy also implemented through prominent marriages, such as the one to Jacopina d'Este, also evoked in the visit, and by attracting renowned artists, such as Giotto.
Inside the chapel, the meaning of the pictorial cycle is illustrated by Mary, the protagonist of the processional procession that, every March 25, the feast of the Annunciation, united the cathedral and the Arena chapel.
