Peter Erskine is considered one of the greatest drummers of all time, able to write fundamental pages in the history of music and a reference point for musicians around the world.
He was born in New Jersey, his career began with Stan Kenton's Big Band, and soon after the legend started with the Weather Report. Alongside Jaco Pastorius and Joe Zawinul, he became a key member during the golden age of what is regarded as the most important "fusion band" in music history, also participating in the legendary live album “8:30”, which won a Grammy Award.
After that, he left an indelible mark on the jazz of the 1980s within Steps Ahead.
His versatility and numerous collaborations with musicians, big bands, and prestigious symphonic orchestras have led him to appear on over 600 albums and win numerous awards, including 2 Grammy Awards.
