An initiative that enriches both the community and the experience of visitors in the area. The Mediterranean Garden of Bibione is located at the western end of the peninsula, next to Porto Baseleghe and the mouths of the Lovi Canal.
The project is part of the Italy-Slovenia cross-border cooperation program (2007-2013) managed by the municipality of San Michele al Tagliamento and the GAL of Eastern Venice, where numerous interventions for the redevelopment of the area and the enhancement of the site have been requested through the introduction of typical plant species of the dune and retro-dune habitat.
This initiative aims to protect natural elements typically found along the coast in a context where anthropogenic pressures can compromise these characteristics of the territory. On site, there are signs and informational materials in various languages, both printed and digital, in order to make the visit even more accessible and interesting for visitors.
