Opitergium - Gravel in the land of Venice

This route develops in a clockwise direction within the fertile plain watered by the Monticano river, which originates from three springs and crosses the towns of Tezze sul Piave, Vazzola, Codognè, and Mansuè. In numerous stretches of these places, one can breathe in the ancient Roman splendor that still characterizes the historic center of Oderzo today. Furthermore, shepherds used to use this route as a connection between the Venetian plain and the mountains, so it is not uncommon to encounter a flock of sheep.

The itinerary extends for about 80 km but can be considered of medium difficulty as it is completely flat. After leaving Oderzo, the route mainly follows the naturalistic itinerary called TV3, which develops along the banks of the Monticano river up to Fontanelle, connecting with the rest of the road network located near the river course, which often runs on excellent white roads.
