The main protagonist of the proposed itinerary is the Piave River. Biking along the banks of the river offers the opportunity to connect with nature, with the Great War, with economic and social changes, and with the history of the populations living there.
The Piave Cycle Path is an ambitious project that aims to create a route of 220 km: the goal is to connect two very different UNESCO World Heritage sites that share a strong bond, namely Venice and the stunning Dolomites.
The starting point of the route is located north of Ponte di Piave, near Cimadolmo, known for its white asparagus, and then continues following the river's current using part of the cycle path under construction.
