The Maglio Pradella is a historical site dating back to the 16th century where iron was mainly worked thanks to two powerful hammers driven by water power. It remained in operation until 1984.
The entire building consists of two rooms: in the first one are the hammers, three forges and other water-driven machinery; in the second, smaller room, are a water fan and a natural stone grinding wheel weighing 9 quintals.
The iron worked by the Maglio di Pradella was mainly derived from the rails or rims of train carriages and locomotives and was used to make agricultural implements.
