Since 2011, Francesca, an artist and daughter of Luciano Gallo, has revived the production brands Galliano and Ploner by reopening her father's abandoned artisan workshop. She is engaged in the construction and repair of free reed musical instruments. The Galliano brand, in particular, originates from the fusion of her founder's last name and first name: Luciano Gallo. A button accordion player since childhood, after school he first becomes a carpenter, then an upholsterer, and finally a furniture designer.
When in 1970 he returned to live in Veneto, he immediately joined the Trevigian Folk Group. Nine years later he builds the first three accordions. Being the only builder in Veneto, he decides to identify himself with the logo of the winged lion holding an accordion. In 30 years, the Galliano brand has gained international recognition, maintaining almost total craftsmanship in production.
Francesca's great passion for her work is also demonstrated by the fact that all the instruments produced have their documented history, from the tree to the musician. She even tracks the mapping of the trees, the seasoning, and the lunar phases for cutting and processing.
