A kayak excursion in the Regional Natural Park of the Sile River, amidst vegetation, glimpses of the river, and reminders of its commercial history.
From the headquarters of Venice Trail, in Lughignano di Casale sul Sile, paddlers go against the slow current of the river until they reach the square of Casier. Here, it is possible to stop freely for a snack, ice cream, or an aperitif before continuing.
The itinerary then reaches the Cemetery of the Burci, where the remains of ancient cargo barges emerge among the water and vegetation. These vessels recall the time when the Sile was a trade route used to connect Treviso and the Lagoon of Venice.
After reaching the area of the hydroelectric power station in Silea, participants return towards the base following the current. The excursion takes place independently: before departure, the staff provides a briefing on kayak usage and the necessary instructions to follow the route.
