Built around the year 1000 on pre-existing architectural elements from the Lombard era, with the reuse of material also from the Roman age, the Church of San Silvestro represents one of the most ancient testimonies of faith and art in the territory of Scodosia.
This small but precious building of the earliest Christianity is enriched by frescoes of the Giotto school, in particular representing Madonnas with the Child on the throne.
