Walk through the historic center of Lonigo, where you can admire and visit the grand 19th-century Duomo, the surviving medieval tower of the 14th-century castle, known as the "Torrione," and then pass into the elegant Piazza Garibaldi.
Here you can see the Palazzo Pisani and, through its large arch, enter the nearby Piazza Matteotti, which faces the ancient parish church, known as the Chiesa Vecchia, and the 19th-century Teatro Comunale "Giuseppe Verdi."
Then, continue the walk along the stately Via Roma to reach the Hippodrome, a large city park built in the 19th century for horse racing.
