In Street G. Mazzini, approximately at number 37, there is the house of Arpalice Cuman Pertile (Marostica 12 May 1876 - 30 March 1958).
Passionate primary school teacher, she was an esteemed and acclaimed lecturer in schools and universities, and a writer of children’s literature. The reform of the public administration, wanted by Mussolini, took away the teaching position both to her and her husband Cristiano Pertile, and in 1929 all her books were withdrawn from schools after the introduction of the state text. Unpopular with the Fascist regime, she devoted herself to writing and private teaching. She died in Marostica, in her home in Corso G. Mazzini, on 30 March 1958.
