Padua and its Gardens

The Italian and English guided walking tour will start from the enchanting Parco Treves, a typical English garden designed by Giuseppe Jappelli between 1829 and 1845 commissioned by Barons Treves de' Bonfili.

Afterwards, always pleasantly with a licensed tourist guide, you will see the Botanical Garden of the University of Padua, world heritage Unesco site since 1997 and will discover the huge biodiversity, an important university teaching and scientific research centre.

Finally, exceptionally you will have the chance to enter the garden of the sixteenth-century Mantua Benavides Palace, noble house of Marco Mantua Benavides, that hosts the highest Hercules statue in Europe, realized together with the triumphal arch in a classical style by the sculptor and architect Bartolomeo Ammannati.
