The Hospital-University Company of Padua, as a hospital complex located on via Giustiniani 1, is established in accordance with Regional Law (L.R.) no. 56 of September 14, 1994, is recognized as a Nationally Relevant Hospital and High Specialization with the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of 08.01.1999, and is identified by the Regional Socio-Health Plan (PSSR) 2019-2023 as a Hub Hospital of excellence of regional significance.
The Hospital-University Company of Padua has public legal personality and entrepreneurial autonomy, and qualifies as an instrumental entity of the Region for the purpose of providing health care services.
The organization and operation are governed by this act, in accordance with the principles and criteria set forth by regional regulations.
The healthcare activity, inextricably intertwined with teaching and research, as institutional tasks of the University, is provided at the Hospital-University Company of Padua, which serves as the reference company for the realization of institutional collaboration between the Regional Health Service and the University of Padua.
