Ours is a story with deep roots. In 1769, one of the last regents, Doge Alvise IV of the patrician house of Mocenigo, acknowledged and certified the excellence of the wines produced by Giovanni Follador, who around 1700 decided to dedicate all his lands to vineyards, following a passion that has been passed down to this day.
Gianfranco Follador, a descendant of Giovanni, has managed to bring about a change in the family tradition by focusing on sparkling wine production. Among the first families in the Valdobbiadene area to orient themselves towards the sparkling wine category. As one of the most historic wine-producing families in the area, we continue our commitment to producing excellent wines with the same love, passion, and care passed down from our ancestors.
Follador is a hallmark of quality for refined Valdobbiadene Superiore D.O.C.G. and Prosecco D.O.C.. The fine and persistent perlage, rich bouquet with an elegant and dry finish, are the result of extraordinary skill passed down for over two centuries.
