Oratorio di San Vigilio
Via S.Vigilio , Farra di Soligo (TV) - 31010
The Oratory of San Vigilio, in the hamlet of Col San Martino, overlooks the surrounding valley. The simple post-Carolingian structure was expanded and decorated with valuable frescoes in the 15th century. The apse and the bell tower, on the other hand, belong to the following century. During the Austro-Hungarian occupation (November 1917 - October 1918), the Church of San Vigilio became an observation post to spy on the Italian troops stationed on the Montello, and although, unlike the oratory of San Martino, it was not hit by grenades, it still suffered serious damage and was stripped of its furnishings.
