Itinerario sulla Strada de la Fan

The itinerary begins shortly after passing the village of Combai in the direction of Valdobbiadene, near the Ristorante Castagno d’Oro, from where one enters the beginning of the “Strada de la Fan” (trail no. 1024) until reaching the ancient village of Colmellere. After crossing the village, one enters the forest and reaches a curious portal made of reeds, created by the landowner. One passes through it and, continuing on the trail, arrives in the area of Pardolin, rich with chestnut woods. From here, the actual stretch of the “Strada della Fan” is traversed, built by the local inhabitants under duress during the Austrian occupation for the transportation of cannons. It was called “de la Fan” due to the hunger suffered by the inhabitants, particularly women and children, due to the great labor and the lack of food. Arriving in the area of Costolada, one leaves the road by turning right at a junction, continuing for a stretch on a slight incline, and then takes a steep path until reaching the area of Pecolsentà. One continues to descend to the valley and then climbs back up to Combai, returning through the village of Colmellere. This is an easy itinerary lasting 3 hours.
