The itinerary begins from the remnants of the Castle and its defensive towers, particularly the Donà Tower, among the tallest preserved medieval towers, then continues towards Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, the city's main square, surrounded by elegant noble palaces: Palazzo Roverella, Palazzo Roncale, Loggia dei Nodari, Accademia dei Concordi, and Palazzo della Gran Guardia.
The route continues with Piazza Garibaldi, where the bronze statue dedicated to the commander stands and where the Teatro Sociale, a traditional theater, is located.
