There are wines that are better understood when you see where they begin. This experience takes you between wine cellar and vineyard, following some of the phases that precede the glass and getting closer to the daily work of Gemin in Valdobbiadene.
From the wine cellar headquarters, you depart aboard the company vehicle to reach the underground grape reception cellar, where the guide explains the beginning of the production process. From here, you continue on foot among the nearby vineyards: a few steps between the rows, time to look around and stop to taste a glass of Valdobbiadene DOCG right in the landscape from which it originates.
The route then offers a less conventional tasting: the base wine drawn directly from the tank, a tangible way to get to know the product before it completes its journey.
Upon returning to the company, the tasting continues with a selection of Valdobbiadene DOCG, accompanied by the story of the founder Guglielmo Bortolomiol and the territory. You go home with something more than just a series of tastings: a more complete view of what happens between the freshly harvested grapes and the wine in the glass.
