Museo della Filanda
Via Roma, 166 , Salzano (VE) - 30030
The Filanda Romanin-Jacur is a highly symbolic place. The Filanda is a story of economic and social development, of industrial progress, of women's emancipation. The Museum wants to revive this experience in an original way, the visitor becomes the protagonist of a real experience, reliving what work was like in the ancient silk factory. Thanks to innovative multimedia technologies, the Filanda is "magically" rekindled, and makes the visitor the protagonist of a real experience reliving what work was like in the ancient Silk Factory. It is a museum that is both traditional and innovative: 'Traditional' because it provides for the display of materials and machinery typical of silkworm breeding and spinning, and 'innovative' because videos and animations, texts, music, sounds and noises allow acoustic/visual and a more complete use for people with disabilities and not, through the use of technology which in this case breaks down the physical and perceptive barriers. Furthermore, even playful interaction allows a new approach to museum realities and captures the attention of children and young people. In conclusion, it is a museum that makes the "experience" of the spinning mill available to everyone, with all the senses, with all the technologies. The eco-sustainable set-up is particular: the furniture was in fact made entirely of cardboard, a warm, natural, ecological material.
