Castello di Lispida (Villa Italia)

Known also as Villa Italia, the Castle of Lispida was originally a monastery. In the mid-1800s, the Counts Corinaldi renovated it in the form of a villa following an eclectic style. In the last months of the Great War, it hosted the headquarters of King Vittorio Emanuele III. Today, it hosts events and meetings, and part of the buildings is designated as a charming accommodation facility.  In the imposing cellars, the winemaking activity is conducted according to traditional pre-industrial production processes, with vinification in terracotta amphorae and wooden vats. In the small hill where the castle is set, there is a natural thermal pond.
