The Sugar Factory, located in an important example of industrial archaeology recovery, represents an original experience that well synthesizes the idea of a place open to the research and experimentation of artistic languages, with spaces where it is possible to share different modes of enjoyment and services. The Sugar Factory is a startup, but above all a space for contamination and reciprocity, a cultural hub where ideas, content, and experiences can be shared, fertile ground for building activities and relationships capable of fostering the artistic, cultural, and economic development of the city and giving profound meaning to meetings with national and international guest artists and professionals.
The industrial complex of the former sugar factory in Rovigo, following an important recovery project, now hosts the city’s exhibition center, conference and exhibition halls, labs, offices, and university spaces.
The Sugar Factory is a project by: Ente Rovigo Festival and Balletto “Città di Rovigo” Association, created in collaboration with Cen.Ser. SpA, promoted by the Veneto Region for cultural, creative, and entertainment enterprises, and supported by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo.
