The Church "La Rotonda", so called because of the octagonal shape of its plan, was designed by Francesco Zamberlan, a pupil of Palladio, and built starting in 1594. The religious and pagan temple is among the symbolic monuments of the city of Rovigo. The interior is completely covered with a majestic pictorial cycle among the most important examples of 17th century Venetian art. The bell tower, 57 meters high, is the work of Baldassarre Longhena.
