The church dates back to 1262, as noted in code A of the Archives of the city of Vicenza; another document from 1376 confirms its belonging to the town. Formerly, next to the parish church, there was a hospice for pilgrims, as noted in a document from 1357.
The construction of the current building, however, is from the eighteenth century.
Inside, there are five altars in baroque style made of some of the finest marbles: French and African red, Sicilian jasper; the tabernacle is made of Carrara marble.
There is also a painting attributed to Alessandro Maganza (1556-1630 circa).
