A monument over eight meters tall created to commemorate the historic flight over the skies of Schio by the aircraft Italia of Count Almerico da Schio in 1905.
This sculpture is a tribute that the city of Schio wants to dedicate to one of its most illustrious citizens, Count Almerico da Schio, who wrote one of the most important chapters in the history of flight over the city's skies.
The work was designed by the artist Lucio Scortegagna, realized by Adolfo Scortegagna, and offered to the city by Bruno Scortegagna. It was inaugurated in October 2008.
