The location of Tonezza del Cimone extends over a plateau with gentle lines at an altitude of 1000 meters. The area is surrounded by the Astico Valley, overlooking the peaks of Monte Cimone and Spitz, and in the distance by the Plateau of the Fiorentini. The Plateau of Tonezza is bordered to the west by the Rio Freddo valley and to the east by the Astico valley; it extends from the summit of Monte Cimone, to the south, to the Plateau of the Fiorentini to the north. In ancient times this territory formed a single plateau along with that of Asiago, but the passage of the waters of the Astico stream over the millennia has shaped the land, dividing it into two distinct areas.
Still today, a splendid and generous nature characterizes the Plateau, offering unforgettable experiences to those who decide to visit it. During the walks that many choose to take along the trails of Tonezza, one may have the fortune to see and photograph many typical animals of the Venetian mountains, such as deer, chamois, elk, squirrels, hares, hawks, and eagles.
