Artificial, man-made embankment, dating back to the Bronze Age and then reused over the centuries by people who have lived in the area. One of the numerous examples scattered in the surrounding areas such as Castelfranco Veneto, Treville, Salvarosa and Vallà. It is a hillock, now covered with grass and trees, but in the distant past it was an inhabited area.
After some archaeological excavations, the presence of very ancient archaeological finds was noted, some of which are preserved in Villa Priuli, in Castello di Godego. The motte is visible from the road and you can see a mound, with trees, surrounded by greenery, with a high slope, circular shape, visible even from a distance. It is about 4 metres high and today one can see cereal fields nearby.
Certainly reused in Roman and medieval times as a defensive site. Modified over the centuries, it was readapted to allow for the cultivation of the surrounding fields. The motte is a small example of history, testifying to the existence of a past and the lives of men and women who were able to leave a living mark.
