The sacred shrine, located in Castello di Godego, is a religious place dedicated to the Holy Mary.
It was built between the 17th and the 18th centuries, after the apparitions of Mary in 1420. Little jewel of art and traditions, it represents the people's faith: it is the oldest shrine dedicated to Mary of the diocese of Treviso, where antiques sacred remains are hosted.
The façade follows the neoclassical style and reminds works by the great artist Antonio Canova. The white marble shines when the sun shines on it. The great entrance, over a small tympanum, is decorated with a magnificent painting of the apparitions of the Holy Mary. On the main altar is located a wooden statue of Mary with the Holy Baby.
A magnificent shrine, rich of history and beauty, renewed throughout the ages. A unique place where to immerse oneself deeply in prayer.
