It was the residence of public offices and the most representative families of the feudal period and the Venetian period. The palaces are from different eras. The Lion of Saint Mark dominates the scene. On the column to the right, as one faces the Town Hall, it reads: “The free market was granted to this Community, which requested it, by the Excellency Senate at the proposal of the Most Illustrious and Most Excellent Andrea Valerio, wise and great counselor, most honored protector of this castle. Year of our Lord 1678, April 13.”
