The Varaschin company was founded around 1930, from a far-sighted vision of Matteo Varaschin, considered one of the patriarchs among the winegrowers of Valdobbiadene. Over the years, Matteo has been able to pass on his culture and “know-how” to his sons Luigi and Renzo and later to his grandchildren.
The winery is located in the typical area of Valdobbiadene, which became a UNESCO heritage site in 2019, more specifically among the hills of San Pietro di Barbozza, next to the prestigious Superiore di Cartizze.
The Varaschin family acquired the historic Palazzo Brunoro in 1991, where the ancient wine cellar is located, a suggestive place where the air is thick with history and winemaking culture. Here, since 1946, the Brotherhood of Prosecco of Valdobbiadene has been hosted.
