At 10:00 in the morning, participants will meet the guide and visit the famous Villa Barbaro in Maser: it is probably the most impressive among the villas designed by Andrea Palladio, and it perfectly represents the Venetian style of the 1500s from which the villas were created. Moreover, Villa Barbaro holds the masterpiece of one of the most significant Venetian artists: Paolo Veronese. Indeed, the rooms of the villa are decorated with a series of frescos by the painter from Verona.

In the afternoon, there will be the guided tour of the historic centre of Asolo, where artists and poets such as Eleonora Duse and Robert Browning sojourned. Asolo is one of the most beautiful hamlets of Italy and “città slow”. Moreover, it is indubitably connected to some celebrities who visited the town over time: Queen of Cyprus Caterina Cornaro, the actress Eleonora Duse, the writers Robert Browing and Freya Stark. Thanks to the special opening of Villa Freya Stark, owned by the English writer and explorer, participants will visit the private villa garden with its numerous plants and precious flowers which decorate one of the most suggestive parts of the town. Additionally, it will be possible to see the ruins of the Roman theatre in Asolo.
