On Pope John Paul I Square stand the most representative buildings of political and religious power in Ceneda: the Cathedral with the Episcopal Seminary and the Cenedese loggia by Sansovino. In the center of the square dedicated to Pope John I in memory of Albino Luciani, former Bishop of the diocese of Vittorio Veneto (1958-1969), there is an elegant fountain dating back to 1555. On Via Brevia, the remains, known as Palasi, of the ancient residence that hosted Emperor Frederick Barbarossa in 1179 can be found.
