Villa Giustinian, De Chantal, Rota Destro
Via Guglielmo Marconi, 31 , Noventa Padovana (PD) - 35027
The villa was built in the second half of the sixteenth century and, purchased by the Giustinians, enlarged and decorated after the middle of the eighteenth century probably by Andrea Urban who signed the frescoes in the rooms. The outbuildings and barns were added during the 19th century. The Giustinians belong to the "De Vescovi" branch and their family crest appears several times in the interior decoration, mainly in the ceiling fresco on the noble floor. Even the De Chantals leave traces of their passage by inserting the coat of arms in the entrance portal. The villa originally included only the central block of the building, fragments of sixteenth-century paintings were found in it: the two wings crowned by terraces and statues at the corners and the transformation in Baroque ways of the elevation of the median volume are from the eighteenth century.
