The Shoe Museum was initiated by the president of the Luigino Rossi Shoe Factory to showcase the most representative pieces created by the company over the course of its activity. The facility was inaugurated on June 24, 1995, marking the fifty-year anniversary of the company's operations.
Rossimoda produces luxury women's footwear, thanks to the acquisition of licenses for high-fashion brands at the highest levels of quality and international importance.
The exhibition path has been organized with the intent to enhance the contribution of individual fashion houses, with particular regard to the stylistic evolution of the “griffes” over time, where the years of collaboration with Rossimoda make this possible. The Museum houses over 1500 models of women's footwear produced by the company from 1947 to the present day, resulting from its collaborations with the most prestigious designers on the international scene. It also hosts a small but valuable collection of Venetian footwear from the 1700s and 1800s.
