The building, designed in 1550 for Girolamo Chiericati, is one of the most renouned masterpieces of Andrea Palladio. Embellished by frescos and stuccos, it is enriched by one of the most prestigious european civic collections of paintings, sculptures and applied arts from the thirteenth to the twentieth centuries. For its exceptional cultural importance, Palazzo Chiericati is declared World Heritage of Humanity site by UNESCO.
