A small locality north of Marcemigo is Scorgnano, where there is a small sanctuary. The church, of medieval origin, perhaps from the Carolingian era, is dedicated to Saints Severus and Brigid. The building, originally a small chapel, was enlarged several times, and the bell tower was built in 1871.
In 1612, Pope Paul V granted a plenary indulgence to anyone who visited the church each year on March 25, the day of the Annunciation. Here, in fact, was the seat of the Company of Our Lady of the Annunciation. Since that concession, the little church became a Marian sanctuary quite frequented in past centuries, especially by the faithful from the surrounding area.
