The Fondaco del Gusto represents a passionate and authentic dedication to the food and wine culture of the Treviso area. Located in the heart of the city of Pievigo, in Piazza Caduti nei Lager, it has been conceived as an emporium, where food and history meet. A place of exchange, of experience, of contamination where the gastronomic heritage of the area and all the protagonists linked to it can discuss, confront each other in order to become more aware and involved.
In this structure, assigned to the Consorzio delle Pro Loco del Quartier del Piave (Consortium of Pro Loco of the Quartier del Piave area), courses and conferences are held on the main pievigina gastronomic speciality: the Alta Marca spit. The Accademia dello Spiedo d'Alta Marca (Academy of the Spit of the Upper March) is also dedicated to it. Founded in 2006, its main purpose is to promote the traditional spit and all the other components of gastronomic culture connected to it, in order to make it one of the territory's values.
Another purpose of the Fondaco is to contribute to the presentation, promotion and valorisation of the territory's excellence, thanks to the contribution of the Pro Loco of the Alta Marca and the UNPLI Veneto; it is therefore an important place of information for tourists.
Now, it hosts the tourist office of Pieve di Soligo.
