The ice was used for medical purposes, specifically to lower high fevers in children and the elderly, and the supply of ice had to be requested by the doctor himself.
Despite the passage of time, it has always been well-preserved and in 2002 it was restored by the Pro Loco of Mossano, returning to its wonderful splendor.
The Ice House is open for visits during the days promoted by the Pro Loco Mossano or by directly contacting them for reservations. A small contribution from visitors is requested.
