The Millepini. A myth of yesterday, today a splendid reality.
The Millepini is a truly mythical place for Asiago. Its name recalls the roaring years, when the big names of Italian and international music would meet here for the Kaberlaba d'Oro music award, directed by that great event creator Vittorio Salvetti, who later transformed it into the Festivalbar.
The first edition took place in 1959, followed by others with increasing success. In the 1960s, the Millepini was the center of the social and tourist life of Asiago. Parties, dances, champagne, and evening gowns. Then times changed, disco music became the new soundtrack of young lives, and the Millepini adapted, hosting the Playback disco until the mid-1970s.
Then came the closure and decline, with many projects remaining on paper, primarily the idea of a multifunctional conference center. A visionary idea, but at the time too expensive, and perhaps the times weren't yet ripe.
But with the new millennium comes the moment to turn that idea into reality, and today the Millepini is not only a conference center but also a place of entertainment, theater, music, and culture. It is the tourism palace of Asiago.
