The restoration of the historic "Austro-Hungarian Cemetery of the Crosati" has made it possible to carry out works such as the reorganization and cleaning of the entire area, the restoration of the enclosing walls and access, and the delimitation, with stone curbs, of the different "fields".
All of this has been done to honor the memory of the 1,036 fallen soldiers of the imperial army, with the intention of spreading values of fraternity. The Municipal Administration has indeed renamed the "Cemetery of the Crosati," calling it the "Monument to Concord and Peace," with the hope, directed at visitors, of reflecting on the errors of the past, nurturing feelings of loving memory for the Austro-Hungarian soldiers who came to die far from their homeland, on Italian soil.
This work is the starting point of a historical route that leads to Cimoncello, to the Ossuary of Monte Cimone, and to Cima Neutra, with the possibility of visiting trenches, tunnels, and remains of positions from the Great War.
