The church of San Michele in Curogna is probably of Lombard origin. The Lombards converted to Christianity under the influence of Queen Theodolinda. After the Lombard domination, the little church first came under the jurisdiction of the Abbey of Sant'Eustachio in Nervesa, and then in the mid-1620s, it came under the control of the Bishop's Seminary of Treviso. Inside, there are three marble statues: one depicting the Virgin, the second representing Saint Romuald, and the last portraying Saint Anthony of Padua.

Of remarkable value is the canvas depicting the Archangel Michael, defeating the Devil with a spear. The contrast created by the author between the gentle and sweet demeanor of the Angel and the diabolical nature of Lucifer is much studied. The painting is a work by the Venetian Emilio Paggiaro, an artist trained at the Academy in Venice and recognized as a veristic interpreter. The Archangel is presented with a white skirt that descends to the knees, a well-crafted armor, and another piece of clothing, all set against a significant contrast with the sky featuring white clouds and light coming from above. Externally, the little church has a door worked with very simple geometric motifs. On the facade, the Doric order pilasters stand out. On either side of the door, inside two niches, two bas-reliefs represent two figures in prayer. On the left side, when looking at the church, a simple rectangular bell tower rises with a clock. At the top, the bell chamber offers space for the bells that summon the faithful on certain liturgical occasions. The spire that crowns a little tower bears a cross at its apex.

The church and bell tower are surrounded by a beautiful wall that enhances the rustic character of the building. Curogna is a small village in the western area of Pederobba, which borders the stream of the same name. According to some sources, the name Curogna would derive from Latin: colum, meaning channel, a term used to indicate the flow of water downhill. Before the reclamation, Curogna was a marshy area enriched by the waters of numerous springs.
