The Studiolo is a small treasure in Castelfranco Veneto, a small and welcoming environment, wonderfully frescoed.
Located near the Academic Theater and the Town Hall, it belongs to the new concept of a widespread museum.
In this magical place there is a sixteenth-century frieze with heraldic coats of arms of the most important families who lived in Castelfranco, and putti, acanthus leaves, tondi rich in enigmaticity and pictorial beauty. The frieze was painted by Venetian craftsmen, influenced by the touch of the great Giorgione. The painting tells a story and an important warning about life and virtues.
The room was recently reopened to the visitor, who will be accompanied with a guided tour to discover the history of the place and the fresco with the use of apps and advanced technologies.
The study, perhaps, was born as a notary's office in 1506, expanding over the centuries and changing function over time. Today it opens to the public with all its magnificence.
