Casa Barea belonged for the homonumous family, that coordinated the renewal of existing buildings, creating a unique and refined palace.
The Bareas were relatives of Francesco Maria Preti, one of the most distinguished citizens of Castelfranco. The architect lived here the last years of his life, when his diseases worsened and he needed support. His nephew Francesco Maria Barea took care of him.
