It is one of those masterpieces, one of those half hidden gems of which Italy is rich: the church of San Bartolomeo overlooks the Brenta river and from its terrace you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the river and the surrounding landscape.
For over a thousand years, the little church of San Bartolomeo has played its praiseworthy role as a sentinel of the faith, on the viewpoint on the border between Pove and Bassano del Grappa.
It is the only one of the territory that preserves the ancient architecture and is erected on the left bank of the river, it belongs to the group of country churches that were annexed to the hospices of pilgrims on the crossroads that linked the Brenta to the Piave to and from Germany.
