Considered the most beautiful building in Badia for its architectural features, Palazzo Bassi dates back to the 17th century. The building, despite numerous restoration interventions, has maintained its intact facade to this day. Composed of two floors plus a loft, it is characterized by a harmonious symmetry with large arched openings. The central portion of the ground floor is marked by a characteristic full arch portico decorated with large stone blocks in rustication. On the main floor, on Via San Giovanni, there is an important balcony that covers a trifora consisting of a door with an arch flanked by lintel doors. All the architectural elements surrounding the windows, the large slabs of the portico, and the five horizontal bands connecting the window sills, lintels, and capitals are all made of light marble, serving as decoration for the beautiful and elegant facade. Inside the palace, there is a wonderful marble staircase that was unfortunately damaged during a renovation in the 20th century. The small pilaster at the landing is inlaid with the coat of arms of the Bassi Family.
