The Church has been documented since 1304. The official consecration dates back to November 20, 1496, when Bishop Antonio Zio blessed the high altar in honor of Saint Giles the Abbot and the Saints Bishops Confessors Cyrinus, Egitius, and Euprepius. Around it, there was a cemetery where many residents of Tregnago still at the end of the Middle Ages requested, through their wills, to be buried.
The Church has always enjoyed a central position in the town, near the municipal seat.
