Villa Marini Rubelli
Via Teresa Rubelli n. 2 , San Zenone degli Ezzelini - 31020
Villa Marini Rubelli, a building from the late 15th century, is located at the foot of Colle Castellaro. In 1988, it was purchased by the Municipality of San Zenone degli Ezzelini, which began restoration and recovery work in 2009 to transform it into an important Territorial Cultural Hub. Currently, the Villa Rubelli complex consists of a large walled courtyard with the manor house to the north, a large barchessa to the east, and a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel dating back to 1753 at the southeast corner. The barchessa permanently houses several plaster models by the sculptor Francesco Rebesco. The villa's grounds continue to the south with an ancient brolo, featuring remnants of old vineyard and fruit orchard cultivations. The manor house exhibits a typical Venetian style with a central connecting hall leading to the rooms located on the side wings. The facade features frescoes depicting figures of Ceres, Flora, and four Telamones. Few remnants of the internal fresco decoration survive, dating between 1714 and 1721. The entire complex is designated for temporary exhibitions, art shows, and promotional activities for the area, managed by the local Pro Loco Association.
